A dark, luscious take on the classic Manhattan/Rob Roy. The use of the fortified adds deep complexity and also plays well to highlight the white chocolate and butterscotch notes of the Tokay Barrel whisky.
Ingredients
20ml Rosso Vermouth
10ml Morris Cellar Reserve Grand Topaque
2 dash aromatic bitters
Orange peel, discarded
Maraschino cherry for garnishing
Method
1. Add all ingredients except orange to mixing glass
2. Add ice
3. Stir to chill
4. Pour into chilled Nick and Nora/coupe glass
5. Express orange oils over drink, discard
