TASTING NOTES
The warm and dry finish to the season allowed the fruit to achieve the desired flavours in the vineyard at 14º baumé and slightly above. The fruit was harvested in the cool of the mornings, and then crushed into open fermenters and allowed to ferment for 6-8 days to achieve the desired colour and structure before pressing. The wine was then matured in four-year-old American oak hogsheads for twelve months.
COLOUR: Medium to full depth slight crimson and red hues.
AROMA: Lifted plum and ripe fruit characters combined with subtle vanillan oak.
PALATE: Full rounded and soft plummy fruit flavours integrated with tannin structure to give good length of flavour.
ABV: 14.5%
