Crafted from an exceptional 1996 vintage, this Cabernet Sauvignon reflects Morris’ philosophy of producing rich, full-bodied wines with depth and length of flavour. Following a long, cool ripening period, fruit was harvested at varying stages of ripeness to capture a spectrum of classic Cabernet character. The wine was traditionally fermented and matured for up to 15 months in French and American oak hogsheads, resulting in a wine of richness, structure and varietal expression.

WINEMAKER'S NOTES

COLOUR: Deep brick red.

AROMA: Ripe leafy and blackcurrant aromas underpinned with a pleasant hint of oak.

PALATE: A well structured palate with generous layers of fruit flavours integrated with oak and grape tannins, leading to a long, lingering finish.

ABV: 13.3%
