The season started with budburst 14 days earlier than usual, and excepting a frost on the 28th October “burning off” 25% of the crop, the season was perfect with a good spread of rainfall and warm ripening conditions.

The weather conditions provided excellent quality fruit with good colour and rich varietal flavours.

WINEMAKER'S NOTES

COLOUR: Deep brickish red with purple overtones.

AROMA: Intense aromas of ripe blackcurrant and spicy fruits, complexed with subtle oak influence.

PALATE: Full bodied with concentrated berry flavours, integrated fruit and oak tannins and a long persistence of flavour.

ABV: 14.3%
