To honour the milestone achievement of over 165 years of craftsmanship, the inaugural Morris Single Barrel Whisky will be released as a series of three iconic expressions. Each individual cask of whisky has been hand selected from the Morris family cellar by Chief Winemaker Madden Morris and Head Distiller Darren Peck, chosen for its exceptional quality & expression of unique flavour.

The fertile floodplains of Rutherglen provide the perfect canvas for viticulture, and it was on these nutrient-rich soils George Morris first established the Morris winery in 1865. While Rutherglen is renowned as a premier Australian winemaking region, it was the Morris family who first pioneered Durif as a table wine, now an iconic varietal synonymous with the area. Known for its intense colour, rich tannins, and dark fruit flavors, Morris Durif wines are full-bodied and structured, making the barrels ideal for aging – a testament to innovation and family legacy

TASTING NOTES

COLOUR: Burnished gold.

NOSE: Rich malted biscuits and dark chocolate crème.

PALATE: Creamy chocolate fondant, dark cocoa with hints of fresh coffee.

FINISH: Decadent notes of chocolate orange linger on the palate leading to warm undertones of vanilla and dried fruits.
